Street Paving Projects

Welcome to the City of Santa Fe Street Department.

Listed below is the paving schedule that has been set for the Summer. It is always subject to change due to weather and addition of streets and roads as supply is available due to Covid-19.

January 2021 - February 2021

******NOTICE****** 2/8/2021
Road construction is in progress at Ave L from 6th Street to 11th Street. Please be aware there will be detours and dust that may hinder visibility. The entire road will be under repair and expected to last several weeks depending on weather. Please drive this road with caution and be mindful of the workers on site. Thank you.
 

Road construction will start the week of 1/4/2021 for AVENUE T. Delays and detours are expected for this area. If at all possible, please try to use an alternate route. Hwy 6 to Gonsoulin Street is the target area. This is expected to last through mid-February 2021 weather pending. Thank you.

Road construction will start 1/21/2021 on Ave Q starting at FM 1764 by Galco Hardware going North. Please be aware there will be detours and dust that may hinder visibility. The entire road will be under repair and expected to last several weeks depending on weather. Please drive this road with caution and be mindful of the workers on site. Thank you.

The Street Department, WCID8, and Drainage District #2 will be partnering up with major water/sewer, drainage, and road construction projects starting early February 2021 with grant funds from the Texas Department of Agriculture and the General Land Office. These projects are expected to last through October 2021. 

The water/sewer line project is expected to start February 2021 for the block of 21st Street to 25th Street off of FM 646 South. Please expect delays and detours. The project is expected to last approximately 3 months - 6  months.
