Planning and Zoning Commission

Duties and Responsibilities The Planning and Zoning Commission shall have the responsibility for the preparation and maintenance of the City's comprehensive plan; shall serve in an advisory capacity on matters concerning amendments to the Santa Fe Zoning Ordinance text or map, on matters concerning the granting or denial of conditional use permits, and on matters pertaining to Planned Unit Designation under the terms of the zoning ordinance; and shall be exclusively responsible for the City's review, and approval or rejection of subdivision plats.

Members — The Commission is composed of seven members, all of whom shall be residents of Santa Fe. Members are appointed by the City Council for three-year terms and serve without compensation.

  • Glennie Hefner - Chairperson - term expires May 2026
  • Wyndee Wagner-McGee - Vice Chairperson - term expires May 2024
  • Ronnie Willoughby - term expires May 2026
  • Janet Davis - term expires May 2025
  • Shannon Wofford - term expires May 2025
  • Andrew Mills - term expires May 2024
  • Christine Villere - term expires May 2026

There are two positions on the Planning and Zoning Commission that will be expiring in May 2024.

While applications are accepted year-round, applications for these two positions will be accepted through Tuesday, April 30, 2024, and positions will be appointed by the Santa Fe City Council on Thursday, May 9, 2024.

The Planning and Zoning Commission meets monthly as needed. Terms last for three years and commissioners serve without compensation.
